Overview
TianGong LCA data recommends using the open-source, free software OpenLCA. Based on our experiments, OpenLCA is the most compatible with ILCD format and has the strongest import-export functionality.
Compared to proprietary software like SimaPro and GaBi, OpenLCA does not have significant data migration barriers. Its data compatibility and transferability are relatively good. TianGong database will prioritize support for OpenLCA.
Please follow these steps to use OpenLCA to open the TianGong LCA database. If you encounter any issues, please contact contact@tiangong.earth.

Operating Instructions
1: Open the OpenLCA software and click on the "Database" tab in the upper left corner, then click "New Database".
2: Enter a name for the new database, select "Complete reference data", and click "Finish" to initialize the database.
3: A completed initialization of the database will appear as shown in the following image.
4: Click on the "File" tab in the upper left corner, and select "Import-File".
5: Select the "TianGong Database" ZIP file downloaded from the official channel and click "Open".
6: For Flow mapping, select "ILCD_Import.csv" and click "Finish".
7: Wait for the data import to complete.
8: There may be one error displayed, possibly due to a misinterpretation of the ILCD package during OpenLCA's data conversion, but this does not affect usage. Click "OK" to complete the data import.
9: The import is complete.
